latest object of my desire
Jesca's tote post put me in the mood to browse for handbags online, and I came across this:
It's the Ellen Tracy Capetown Satchel (the last handbag I bought was an Ellen Tracy, similar color, but hobo style, and much smaller, and it's my ALL-TIME favorite purse).
I'm tempted to buy it RIGHT NOW, but it's more than I want to spend on a handbag right now ($332 on zappos.com). Then again, my birthday IS this week, it could be a great present to myself! I love the big size and all the pockets on this one. Outside pockets are a huge plus in my book...easy access to cell phone, lip gloss, bluetooth headset, grocery list, etc. BUT...I know that I really do not *need* a new handbag right now, so I'll resist the temptation (for now). But I couldn't resist posting it here.

Ceetwo! My sister-in-law is boutique manager for Ellen Tracy/Eileen Fisher at Bloomie's (somewhere in Massachusetts). She is ALWAYS telling me to let her know if I want something. I'm sure she could do some kind of discount, but I don't know how much sway she has over Ellen Tracy accessories--dunno if that's considered a different department or not.
Just sent her a happy note to say hello. I could try asking her about it next week, perhaps. :)
Oooooo...thanks for the info, Jesca! I'm still torn though. I so do NOT *need* another purse right now. BUT...I'm still considering the white one that you pointed out to me on Ebay, it's almost too good to pass up...
that is a great bag - love hte style. i've never known ellen tracy to make such cute bags - mostly i find her stuff to be too conservative. i'll have to give it a go!
