i said my lip gloss is cool, my lip gloss be poppin

I have been on a cosmetic-buying binge for about the past 6 weeks. I am officially stocked up on pinky-mauvey and peach-y lip glosses and lipsticks, for a very natural yet shiny lip. And I'm here to share my finds!

From MAC, I bought a MAC Slimshine lipstick in Bare, a pink-nude (Slimshines are creamy sheer lipsticks with a gloss-like finish without the tackiness), and I top it with MAC Lustreglass gloss in Love Nectar, a shimmery peach-pink. Both are pretty on their own, but together they're even better! My other MAC purchase was Viva Glam V lipstick, a neutral pink in the Lustre finish. I also just purchased the Viva Glam V gloss, similar to Love Nectar, but a tad darker.

I also bought 5 glosses from the Cosmetics Company Store at the Aurora outlet mall, but I haven't started using them, so I have no reviews yet. They're Fall colors, darker.

But my best-favorite purchases were a drugstore brand, NYX, which I found at Ulta, and I actually use them more than the MAC glosses! I *love* them! I bought 3 glosses: Chestnut (beige, w/shimmer), Smokey Look (peach, no shimmer), and Natural (pink, no shimmer). The glosses smell like cherry candy, I love it! The formula is supposedly "mega shine"...for me, it's the right amount of shine and they're not too tacky. Also, they don't "disappear" like a lot of less expensive glosses do, they have enough pigmentation in them to be noticeable on their own so that I don't have to wear a lipstick underneath. BUT...if I am in the mood to wear lipstick underneath, I bought 2 NYX lipsticks: Thalia (pink) and Frappuccino (mauve). The formula is a little "thick" so you need a light hand with these, but the color is great.
