Infomercial surprise

I've had a revelation recently. I'm just like the next gal when it comes to infomercial products. I see the commercial on TV then think to myself..."self, that's an interesting idea, maybe I'll buy the product." Then out of laziness I never do. One confession though, if the product is available on the shelves at Walgreens or CVS, chances are, I will purchase the item.

In the past, I have purchased Nads sugar waxing kit and more recently the EZ combs hair styling kit - both were a waste of money. But one item from the world of infomercials has always intrigued me...Bare Escentuals/Bare Minerals. A few months ago, I received a small sample at the local cosmetics store, which came free with my purchase. I used the product at home just to see how effective it was. Overall, not bad, but the applicator brush was crap. Over time, I had discussed BE/BM with other ladies who've used it and discovered I was applying it incorrectly! Well, upon learning the correct technique (I guess I didn't pay close enough attention during the TV Infomerical) and a better brush (I recommend the Sephora Platinum brushes) I was very happy with the results.

You can achieve full coverage and light coverage with BE/BM. The trick is in the application -- I know...I sound like that spokeslady, but it's really true. I have a few other mineral-based cover up (True and Prescriptives) but none match the intensity I can achieve with BE/BM.

So I guess I'm a true believer now....

My next item of interest is the InStyler!

Ooooh, I'm intrigued! I'm down to the last bit of my Urban Decay Surreal Skin, and while I'm pretty happy with it, I wouldn't mind trying something new!
p.s. The InStyler!! I would love to know if that thing really works!!
